Subject: Undergraduate TA positions in MATH130 and MATH131

Description:

The Biological Sciences Program needs to hire additional TAs to lead the
Biology – related discussions in MATH130 and MATH131 for spring 2017.
Undergraduate TAs for these positions should have completed a minimum of
MATH130 and MATH131, or MATH140 and MATH141 and should have at least one year
of general biology coursework, all at UMD and with a grade of B or higher.
The positions require the UTA to lead two-one hour discussions per week, and
to assist the course instructor with proctoring and grading exams.  The
course schedules can be viewed on Testudo.  The stipend for the work is
$1500.00 for one semester. TAs are expected to work about 12 hours per week.
Upper level undergraduates or recent UMD graduates are eligible for the
positions.
