Subject: Math Success Program Coach/Tutor Application Now Open

Description:
The Department of Resident Life is seeking Math Success Program
tutors/coaches for Fall 2018. We are looking for UMD students that have a
passion for math and teaching. All applicants must be undergraduate students
that have completed at least one MATH course at the University of Maryland
and have finished both Calculus 1 and Calculus 2 with a grade of "A" by the
end of the spring semester.

The Math Success Program provides math coaching services and through these
services, promotes a positive and encouraging environment of study where
students can practice skills and gain an understanding of math. The program
aims to decrease anxiety surrounding the study of math and help students gain
the confidence needed to succeed in core mathematics courses at the
University of Maryland through positive peer to peer and group interactions.
