Subject: Emergency Department Scribe Positions Open - Frederick MD

Description:
My name is Dahlia Kronfli and I am one of the Chief Scribes for ScribeAmerica
at Frederick Memorial Hospital in Frederick, MD. As some of our current
scribes are gearing up to leave for medical school, our team is looking to
hire a few more positive, hard-working team members. This PAID position gives
you firsthand clinical experience about the rewards and challenges in
medicine and will boost your application to medical, PA, NP, or nursing
school. During each shift you work one-on-one directly alongside a variety of
emergency providers to accompany patient visits and complete charting.
By gaining medical terminology, an understanding of patient workflow, and
observing bedside manner, this is invaluable experience for those eager to
gain a deeper understanding of the reality of medicine. Our providers love
working with and teaching scribes and are happy to write proficient scribes
recommendation letters. We are also a unique site in that we hire exclusively
overnight scribes, greatly reducing the amount of overnight shifts day
scribes have to work.
This is a competitive position that requires extensive training in emergency
medicine. As this is an investment in each applicant, the screening process
is selective. All applicants should have a typing speed above 60 words per
minute; the faster, the better. Please note that currently we are seeking
scribes with flexible schedules who can work full-time (four shifts a week)
starting in late May, but all strong applications will be considered. This is
an ideal job for those of you taking a gap year.

to hearing from you!
