Subject: Seeking Research Study Participants - Are you a Social Drinker?
Description:
The University of Maryland Department of Psychiatry is seeking Healthy men
and women for a research study. Participants must be aged 21 to 65 years and
heavy social drinkers.
The purpose of the study is to develop a blood test that can detect amounts
of recent drinking. Study involves alcohol administration (drinking regular
and non-alcoholic beer), blood draws, genetic tests, psychological and
physical examinations, three 4-day-long visits once in every two/three weeks
requiring overnight stays at the University of Maryland Medical Center, and
four additional visits that are 5-minutes to several hours long.
Study-related psychological and physical examinations, blood and urine tests
and meals during visits longer than 4-hours are provided free of change
