Join the Society of Physics Students today at 5:45 PM in PSC 2136 for our
weekly meeting, featuring a talk from Dr. Sankar Das Sarma entitled
“Quantum Physics on Human Scale". Dr. Das Sarma is a Fellow of the Joint
Quantum Institute (JQI), and the Director of the Condensed Matter Theory
Center at UMD, where he has been on the physics faculty since 1980. Das Sarma
has co-authored more than 600 articles in the Physical Review Journal series
of the American Physical Society, and with more than 60,000 citations to his
publications, has been among the most-cited theoretical physicists in the
21st century.
