Subject: The Math Success Program is Hiring!

Description:
The Department of Resident Life is seeking Math Success Program
tutors/coaches for Fall 2019. We are looking for University of Maryland
students who have a passion for both math and teaching.

All applicants must be undergraduate students who have completed at least one
MATH course at the University of Maryland, have finished both Calculus 1 and
Calculus 2 with a grade of "A" by the end of the spring semester, and have
completed at least one other MATH or STAT course and received a grade of
“A- or better”.

The Math Success Program provides math coaching services and through these
services, promotes a positive and encouraging environment of study where
students can practice skills and gain an understanding of math. The program
aims to decrease anxiety surrounding the study of math and help students gain
the confidence needed to succeed in core mathematics courses at the
University of Maryland through positive peer to peer and group interactions.
