Subject: 2018 Alaska Adventure!

Description: All UMD students are invited to join College Park Scholars-Life
Sciences on an Alaskan Adventure this August! We will spend two weeks hiking,
kayaking, rafting, gold panning, and wildlife cruising our way through
Anchorage, Seward, Denali, Fairbanks, Valdez and more. You will see killer
whales, humpback whales, endangered sea lions, seals, Dall porpoises, river
otters, black bears, bald eagles, moose, caribou, and grizzly bears. We will
hike to mountain tops in Denali National Park and will venture to the edge of
the Harding Ice Field where we will experience global climate change first
hand. This three-credit course is open to all students and will count as
enrichment credits for all Biological Sciences majors. Applications due MARCH
