Description:
An Internal Medicine/Hospitalist scribe observes the physician during patient
encounters and performs documentation on the physician’s behalf. Under the
direction of the physician, the scribe locates past medical records, prior
lab/radiology results and/or past visit encounters for the physician to
review as well as enters information into the patient’s electronic chart
before, during and after patient interviews.

This is an incredibly unique opportunity for those interested in pursuing a
medical career. Each shift, a scribe is able to learn directly from the
physician they are working with, assist him/her with their care by completing
their notes and observe doctor-patient interactions.

At Suburban Hospital, a Hospitalist scribe witnesses both Emergency and
Internal Medicine in practice. Shifts include both AM and PM options, 7 days
a week. Hourly wage starts at $11.50/hour.

Our team is currently seeking scribes with either part-time (2-3 shifts/week)
or full-time (3-5 shifts/week) availability, to begin between April-June.
