Subject: (CHANGE IN TIME) Presentation by the Navy Surgeon General

Description:
The conversation with the Surgeon General of the Navy will now be happening
on Thursday, April 12th between 5-7pm.

On Thursday, April 12, from 5-7pm in ESJ 0224, Delta Epsilon Mu will be
honored to be hosting an inspiring presentation open to UMD's entire
pre-health community! Our guest, Vice-Admiral Faison, is the current Surgeon
General of the Navy, as well as an experienced pediatrician. This grants him
an immense wealth of knowledge pertaining to medical disciplines, public
health administrative policy, and the realm of military medicine.

He will be discussing his path from a prospective minister to overseeing the
wellness of hundreds of thousands of individuals. Since then, he has seen
firsthand the impact that international aid can have, as he has placed a
revitalized focus on naval global health initiatives and humanitarian efforts
during his tenure. Additionally, he will debate the various virtues required
for a successful physician, the best ways to navigate applying &
matriculating into medical/graduate school, and highlight the differences
between civilian and military medical schools.

This should prove to be a very exciting educational opportunity for all
students within the Life Sciences disciplines! As UMD's only pre-health
professional fraternity, we encourage students from all pre-professional
tracks to attend.
