Subject: TLPL 101 - a fun, interactive course

Description:
TLPL 101:  a fun, interactive course that provides an opportunity for you to
inspire the next generation of scientists and mathematicians!

       In this course, you will be matched with a partner from your class, and
a teacher at a local elementary school.  Over the course of the semester, you
and your partner will visit this teacher’s classroom to conduct one
observation and teach two science or math inquiry-based lessons.

       Why enroll in TLPL 101?
Small class size; <25
No permission code, application, or obligation to continue
Develop skills (organization, communication, interpersonal) that can be used
in any profession and shared in your applications for professional or
graduate school or in a job interview
No car? No worries - All schools are accessible via the UMD shuttle or metro
bus
TLPL 101 + TLPL 102 (middle school field experience) = scholarship in
practice general education requirement
If you receive a "B" grade or better, you will receive a $150 scholarship

       A former student of TLPL 101 stated, “This was a great low-stress
class, it had a very open environment and was easy to participate. I loved
the field component of the class and the teachers were very helpful and
