Subject: Summer teaching assistant position with Terp Young Scholars

Description:
We are seeking an undergraduate teaching assistant to help teach an online
summer program for high school students, through the Terp Young Scholars
program. The program is called Modern Medicine, and covers the biological
underpinnings of disease, diagnosis, and treatment. The undergraduate
assistant will assist the program instructor with teaching and supervision of
student activities.

The program runs 9:00 AM ­to 12:00 PM Monday-Friday from July 13 through
July 31. Some prep time during the weeks leading up to the program may also
be required (although the specific days and times are flexible). The pay is
$900.

Applicants must be current undergraduate students at the University of
Maryland majoring in a science discipline. Previous teaching experience and
coursework in anatomy and physiology is helpful but not required. Interested
students should submit a letter of interest, resume, and transcript
