Subject: Medical Assistant Position

Description:
Chevy Chase Surgical Associates is a busy private general surgery practice
with four surgeons who operate a fully accredited ambulatory surgical
facility adjacent to our office, as well as provide urgent surgical care,
traditional of a hospital emergency department. We are ideally looking to
hire recent graduates for full-time employment or current students for
part-time employment as a Medical Assistant at our practice.
Our Medical Assistants become very familiar with on-site imaging modalities,
such as ultrasound, hands on sterile-technique and sterile processing, minor
surgical procedures under local anesthesia as well as full general anesthesia
cases from start to finish.
In this role, Medical Assistants become proficient at transcribing medical
dictations and have the opportunity to interact with surgeons and mid-level
providers (our excellent PAs, NPs and RNs) with direct patient care that
spans from initial consultations to routine post-operative visits.
Another important aspect of the Medical Assistant role is within the
administrative side of the practice. This includes handling medical
documents, communicating with insurance companies, scheduling appointments
and managing doctor’s schedules. They also are responsible for stocking
examination rooms, sterilizing OR instruments and maintaining organized
patient charts for each physician.
Our office is a very friendly, welcoming place to work. We have a tight-knit
group that functions well in the high-paced environment of our office, and
are looking for another addition to this team. Please forward a copy of your
resume to our head Medical Assistant – Rachel Macey
