Subject: Gilman Study Abroad Scholarship for Pell Grant Recipients
Description:
Are you a Pell Grant recipient (and US citizen) planning to study abroad in
Winter, Spring or Summer 2020?
You may be eligible to apply for the U.S. State Department’s Gilman
Scholarship https://www.gilmanscholarship.org/, which provides up to $5,000
for study abroad and up to $8,000 if you are studying a critical language. In
the last three years, 100 UMD undergraduate students have won Gilman
Scholarship!
Attend one of our upcoming information sessions and you'll get access to our
ELMS Gilman resource site, which includes samples of successful application
essays. We'll also let you know how you can earn an automatic $1,000 grant
from the UMD Education Abroad office for completing a Gilman application!
