Subject: Job Posting BSCI 189I UTA

Description:
BSCI189I has an opening for a UTA.  This course examines the biological
foundations of human diversity. The premise of the course is that modern
knowledge in biology rejects the idea of race as being biologically
meaningful. The topics are basic cell biology, DNA, and evolution, along with
phylogenetics and correlates of various traits.  The TA should have a strong
background and solid grades in cell and molecular biology courses. The
position involves about 12 hours a week.
-- teaching one lab section that meets Wed 3 - 6pm
-- prepare for and attend prep meeting Thurs 4 - 6pm
-- attend one lecture a week as well as proctor 3 exams.   The lecture meets
mwf11- 12
-- grade exams and term papers
