Description:
Studies involve computerized questionnaires, cognitive tasks, and foreign
language-learning tasks, and vagus nerve stimulation through an earbud.

Both studies involve 7 sessions, and compensate $20/hour overall for 11.5-12
hours of participation.

tVNS and Vocabulary and Grammar Learning
-All sessions are held online via Zoom and involve screen- and
audiovisual-sharing, but no recording
-Requires picking-up and dropping-off study materials at the Patapsco
Building near the UMD College Park campus
-Requires a device (iPhone, iPad, iPod Touch) that runs iOS 13.0 or higher

tVNS and Language Learning: Speech Perception
-All sessions are held in Room 0202, the Second Language Acquisition lab in
Jimenez Hall on the UMD College Park campus
-Also involves pupillometry
-Participants who complete all seven sessions will be entered into a raffle
to win $100 cash

You must be between 18 and 35 years old and meet all other eligibility
criteria.
