Subject: Off-campus Research Opportunity
Description:
Calcium Signaling Laboratory at the DC VA Medical Center is looking for
enthusiastic undergraduates for Post-Bac position who are in the process of
attending Medical/Dental/Pharmacy/PhD program. Candidates will get a chance
to be involved in exciting multidisciplinary research opportunities to
acquire skills and knowledge across the field in Biomedical Sciences
including Cell Biology, Physiology and Biomedical Engineering. This
interdisciplinary research training will trigger the passion in science, give
the students a competitive edge in both academia and industry, and help them
become leaders in these new emerging research fields. We expect the students
to undertake multi-faceted approaches to problem solving and develop critical
skills applicable for future endeavors. Students will be given opportunities
to be trained in a wide-array of scientific fields, including: cell culture,
cell imaging, signal transduction, physiology and biomolecular analysis.

Requirements:
• Recent graduates who have hands-on experience on biochemical
techniques (RT-PCR and western blot) and other cell biological techniques in
