Subject: Looking for something to do during Spring Break? Volunteer with
GoodNeighbr!
Description:
Not sure what to do during Spring Break? GoodNeighbr is looking for
volunteers for this Sunday, March 20th and next Sunday, March 27th from 12-2
pm!
We will be volunteering with A Wider Circle and helping with their Essential
Support program:
“This program focuses on providing basic need items for the home to our
neighbors seeking to rise out of poverty. Volunteers help us to sort
donations, including household furniture, linens, kitchen items, toys, and
professional clothing and accessories, and stock the showrooms our clients
select their items from.”
This means doing essential work, like organizing professional clothing for
people who are trying to rejoin the workforce. With your help, we can sort
dozens of donations for A Wider Circle, which then can be handed out to
people in need!

A brief bio on GoodNeighbr: We are a non-profit dedicated to alleviating
homelessness through community-bolstered campaigns in the DMV area. Our
organization uses a three-pronged approach: Social Clubs, Service Events, and
Operational Events. Our social clubs are designed to recruit volunteers and
spread awareness to our organization in the community. Secondly, we host
volunteer service events with our community partners to support their
mission. Lastly, our operational events, including clothing drives, town
halls, and digital literacy seminars, directly help those in need.
