Description:
The UMD Neuroscience and Cognitive Science (NACS) PhD Program's Diversity &
Inclusion committee is hosting an information session about the NACS program
for Monday, May 2nd at 5 - 6:15pm. It will be in a hybrid format - both
in-person in BRB 1103 (with snacks and beverages!) and on Zoom. The
information session is appropriate for undergraduate at all levels and may
also be suitable for postbacs.
Activities include:
**an overview of the NACS PhD program including funding packages and program
structure
**flash talks by faculty, graduate students, and undergrads to showcase
research in NACS
**graduate student panel including information about seeking research
assistantships, preparing a competitive application for the PhD program, and
life in the PhD program
**small group breakout Q&A
