Subject: Part-time Molecular Technician Employment Opportunity
Description:
ICMD is a laboratory (located close to campus) seeking a part-time weekend
molecular technician for patient specimen testing. Shifts may be anywhere
from 4-8 hours long, depending on volume and will be daytime hours. Some
experience in a lab setting and use of lab equipment is preferred. Willing to
train a qualified and motivated applicant. Only one position is available at
this time.
Minimum Qualifications: A bachelor’s degree in a biological, health or
social science or a directly related field from an accredited institution
required.
Must be able to: Lift, push, and/or pull up to 20 lbs. Work in an environment
that may expose you to fumes, chemicals, extreme cold, blood/body fluids, and
infectious disease. Frequently wash your hands (biohazardous materials may be
present). Sit and stand for long periods of time, frequently walk, and
bend/stoop, as well as execute repetitive motions. Work with complex and
sharp laboratory equipment, and various chemical and biological solutions.
Wear appropriate safety equipment when handling biological samples and
hazardous chemicals.
