Subject: Neurology internships available immediately

Description:
An unpaid internship is available immediately at a Neurology medical office,
Center for Brain and Neurocare, located in Fulton, MD.
Available shifts:
Mondays 8 am to 4 pm
Wednesdays 8 am to 4 pm
Thursdays 8 am to 4 pm
Fridays 8 am to 2 pm
*Four hour shifts are available upon request, but preference is given to
candidates that are able to commit to 8 hours shifts and/or multiple shifts.

A one month commitment is required. COVID19 vaccination and booster are
required.  Masks are required. The interns will shadow the physician, Dr.
Ruwani Gunawardane, during patient exams, allowing students to gain
experience observing neurology patients and disease states of Migraines,
Parkinson's Disease, Multiple Sclerosis, Alzheimer's Disease, Trigeminal
Neuralgia, and Peripheral Neuropathy, as well as neuroanatomy and correlation
with neurological disorders. Student interns will gain exposure to brain
MRI's on neurological disorders and gain experience performing MOCA exams
with patients and EMR documentation. The internship also includes performing
COVID19 screening questionnaires and temperature checks for patients office
