Subject: Student Disability Community Affinity Space

Description:
It’s "Show and Tell: Lightning Round" at the next Student Disability
Affinity Space!

Thursday, March 4 | 5 - 6 PM | Zoom | Register at
https://go.umd.edu/disabilityaffinitymarch4

The President’s Commission on Disability Issues Student Advisory Committee
(PCDI-SAC) is a student group that aims to serve as a voice for students with
disabilities and their advocates by sharing their experiences on the
University of Maryland campus. SAC provides a platform for students to form
bonds, propose change and reduce the stigma surrounding disabilities,
neurodivergence, and mental illness, with the goal of creating an accessible
and inclusive campus.

PCDI-SAC is hosting Student Disability Community Affinity Spaces this spring
semester. If you identify as a part of the disability community, come join
us! The meetings are a space to connect, socialize, support each other, and
share resources.

Our next Affinity Space on March 4th, is Show and Tell: Lightning Round! The
hope is that folks will show, share, or present anything that is of interest
to them! Some examples are:

- Share your new favorite quarantine recipe
- Show a new craft you've been working on
- Share a book, movie, artist, song, poem, etc. that you enjoy
- Share about events coming up, an event you attended, a resource or media
source you like, etc. (disability related or not!)
- Fun facts you've learned
- A project you're working on

Truly, anything you want!

The only "rule" is that folks will have about 5 minutes to share (given we
have a lot of attendees who'd like to share). Attendees are not required to
share anything. Come share something cool, or sit back and learn something
new!

Please find information, meeting dates, and zoom registrations at
