Startup Shell is UMD's home for builders, designers, and entrepreneurs. We
are a student-run co-working space designed to help you find the people and
resources that you need to build the next Google or Oculus. Our founders have
been a part of YCombinator, raised multimillion-dollar seed rounds, and
exited their companies. We also accept fellows with particular skillsets who
can join exciting projects, get top internships, and even start their own
companies.

We have a dedicated 24/7 co-working space on campus (a few minutes from
Iribe) and will be moving to the EA IDEA factory soon. Our new space will
have dedicated server hosting for members, a dual 3090 ML rig,
top-of-the-line audio/video equipment, and many more members' resources.
Startup Shell regularly hosts successful founders, side-project hackathons,
and other fun workshops/social events open to all students. We just published
our event schedule for February at startupshell.org/events! If you want to
meet a fun, driven, and supportive community, check out our organization.

We are hosting a pitch workshop for Pitch Dingman this Tuesday (Feb 1st) and
an open house on Wednesday (Feb 2nd). Students compete for $75,000 in venture
grants at Pitch Dingman so come out if you want feedback or more information
about applications!
