Subject: Job: Lookign for UTA for BSCI135
Description:
Undergraduate Teaching Assistants (UTAs) wanted for BSCI135, a plant biology
course for non-science majors.
If you would like to get valuable experience teaching and learning a lot
about plants, please consider being a lab TA for BSCI 135 "Amazing Green: The
Plants that Transformed the World."
Responsibilities mainly include teaching one lab session (less than 2 hours)
a week, attending a Lab prep meeting (Friday afternoon, time TBD), grading
lab exercises and helping in the lecture exams (only 3 per semester). The
weekly time commitment is around 10 hours per week. Salary $1,762 per
semester. New UTAs will also be required to register in a 1 credit seminar
Tuesdays 3-3:50 pm. UTAs in the past really enjoyed the experience of these
teaching paid positions.
