21st Deadline)!

Attention CMNS Sophomore and Juniors!

The Nvolve Women inSTEM Scholars program  is currently accepting applications
for Spring 2022 with a deadline of November 21st, 2021.

What is Nvolve?

- Nvolve is a Maryland state, non-profit organization (www.NvolveMe.org) that
is dedicated to increasing the participation of women in technology, life
sciences, and health careers by overcoming gender, racial and socioeconomic
barriers.

- Nvolve’s program is geared toward full-time, second- and third-year,
college women who are pursuing a STEM degree.  Among the selection criteria
are academic strength (cumulative GPA of 3.3 or higher), motivation,
potential to utilize program resources, and financial need.

- Nvolve scholars earn a stipend throughout the two-year program.

What does Nvolve do?

- In collaboration with academic and industry partners, Nvolve uses unique
approaches to mentoring, professional skill-building and experiential
learning to prepare college women for successful STEM careers.


What will I do as an Nvolve Scholar?

- As an Nvolve scholar, you will participate in a two-year program while
enrolled at your current undergraduate institution, during which you will
focus on 4 essential components of professional development that will enable
you to build a professional portfolio:

·  Leadership Development
·  Networking with STEM professionals
·  Collaborative Research on a STEM-related project
·  One-on-One Mentoring with a professional mentor in a STEM field

YOUR NVOLVE EXPERIENCE WILL:

·  Give you better access to summer internship programs
·  Better prepare you to enter your chosen STEM career
·  Provide you with industry, academic and peer networks
·  Allow you to practice professional research innovation
