Description:
UAEM, or Universities Allied for Essential Medicines, is a non-profit
organization focused on a global movement of students working to address the
access to medicines crisis and health inequity. We work to promote affordable
access to medicines, vaccines, diagnostics, and devices in developing
countries as well as here in the US by advocating for more
socially responsible policy and increased transparency in medical research.

Our UMD Chapter has three committees: the ETAF/Covid-19 Committee,
the Insulin Committee, and the Health Disparities Committee. Together, these
teams work
to promote health equity and global health access through education,
empowerment, policy-based advocacy, and service.
