Subject: Full Stack Web Developer Wanted
Description:
We are seeking a Full Stack Web Developer to work on a five-year $10M project
funded by the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA)/National
Institute of Food and Agriculture (NIFA). The project’s goal is to develop
a predictive decision support Dashboard for Agricultural Water use and
Nutrient management (DAWN) to sustain food and energy crop production in the
Corn Belt. The student developer will be responsible for collaborating with
the DAWN team to maintain and update the DAWN website and to design of web
interfaces for decision support tools created by DAWN researchers.
Applicants should be current University of Maryland undergrad or graduate
students who have completed the web application development course (CMSC
389N) or its equivalent. Additionally, applicants should have excellent
spoken and written English skills and independent web design experience. We
will give preference to applicants familiar with React, Node.js, AWS,
Express, and MongoDB and who have an interest in environmental science.
