Subject: Volunteer for Combating Overdoses in Rural Areas
Description: Interested in helping people affected by the opioid epidemic?
Want an in-person experience in public health intervention? Consider joining
CORA (Combating Overdoses in Rural Areas), a UMD student nonprofit fighting
the crisis through education, overdose response training (ORT), and advocacy.
Service activities include drug take back days, community education day
trips, donation drives, and more. Volunteers will also have the opportunity
to become certified in ORT and NARCAN administration. Weekly general body
meetings are on Tuesdays, 6-7 p.m. in HJP2242 starting Sept. 28.
