Subject: Reminder: Student-led 1-credit class MATH299Y
Description: Sign up on Testudo for this 1-credit student-led course! As
described by one current student: "This class is awesome to take even if you
aren't going into education because it helps you think simply about complex
math topics." The topics we'll be exploring are typically not found in the
school curriculum, such as infinities, logic puzzles, combinatorics,
strategic games, and fractals. We'll discuss how they could be taught to kids
of ages 4, 8, and 12, building in depth as we go. Students write the course
was "an illuminating experience," as well as "entertaining and valuable."
