The UMD National Scholarships Office has an in-depth ELMS resource site for
UMD NSF GRFP applicants, with recorded presentations (described below) and
supporting materials to help you prepare a competitive application. This
resource site is open to current UMD undergraduates at all levels, to UMD
alumni applying to grad school this fall 2022 or after, as well as to UMD
grad students who will be in their 1st or 2nd years in Fall 2022.

The NSF Graduate Research Fellowship Program (NSF GRFP) provides 3 years of
full support for PhD studies, with an annual stipend of $34,000, in science,
math, engineering, and social/behavioral science fields. You can visit the

Eligibility: You must be a US citizen or Permanent Resident to apply for the
NSF graduate research fellowship. You must be applying for, or enrolled in
your 1st or 2nd year of graduate studies in an NSF supported field in Fall
