Subject: TA positions available in BSCI. Current undergraduates or recent
graduates
Description:
The Biological Sciences Program intends to hire one or more individuals to
teach one or more laboratory sections of BSCI161 in the Fall semester 2022.
The workload is 10 hours per week for each laboratory section taught. Salary
for this position depends on educational level and number of labs taught. If
you are interested in applying for a TA position in BSCI161 please contact
Dr. Francisca Saavedra at [log in to unmask] Provide your UMD UID#, number of
UMD credits, graduation status, and undergraduate GPA. Students who have
recently graduated from UMD are encouraged to express interest. Requirements
for this position are:
• A major in Biological Sciences or a closely related field
• An undergraduate GPA of 3.0 or higher
• A grade of B or better in the following courses, or AP credit
o BSCI160
o BSCI161
o Four additional BSCI courses, at least two above the 200 level
