Subject: TA position available for CHEM241/242

Description:
The Science in the Evening Program has an opening for a teaching assistant in
CHEM24/242.  Current undergraduates and recent graduates are encouraged to
apply. Science in the Evening is a post-bac program for students with a
bachelor’s degree to take courses for applying to medical or other health
related professional schools.  The courses are in the evenings, and the
students are mature and serious.
The duties for the SIE CHEM241/242 TA involve leading one lab section each
week, which meets Weds from 7:30 - 10:30 AND leading a discussion which meets
Weds from 6:30 - 7:30.  The TA will also help with light course grading and
be available for student meetings. SIE teaching assistants are expected to be
mature and professional in interacting with SIE students. The stipend for an
undergraduate student as an SIE TA is $2200. The stipend for recent graduates
depends on qualifications.
