UMD Loop is hosting an Interest Meeting on Friday, September 9th in A. James
Clark Hall Forum (AJC), Room 1101 from 6:30 - 7:15 PM EST! If you’d like to
learn more about the team or are interested in joining, this is the place to
do so!

UMD Loop is a competitive engineering team that welcomes all engineering,
computer science, and business majors of all skill levels. Originally founded
in 2015 to compete in the SpaceX Hyperloop Competitions, UMD Loop has since
switched focus towards Elon Musk and the Boring Company's Not-a-Boring
Competition in which we have designed, analyzed, and built our first tunnel
boring machine. Our team spent a week and a half in Las Vegas at the
beginning of last September testing our machine, competing against 7 other
international teams from an initial pool of 400 applicants, ultimately
winning us an award and unofficially claiming the title of the “best
American team”.

This team provides the hands-on experience that recruiters love - working
through the entire design process on a large scale engineering project that
cannot be matched in the classroom.

Our team is recruiting for these major subteams: mechanical, avionics (both
electrical and software), and business. If you’d like to learn more about
the team, please join us for our interest meeting! There, we’ll discuss
more about the team and the recruitment process. Feel free to email
