(CHSE 328A)
7-week course that will run from October 20th through December 8th.

"Common Ground Deliberative Dialogues" (CHSE 328A) is a 1-credit, 7-week
course that will run from October 20th through December 8th. The dialogues
will take place on Thursdays from 6-8pm in the Art-Sociology Building. This
course is open to all undergraduate students and is currently pending
approval for the "cultural competency" (DVCC) GenEd requirement.

Here are some reason you should enroll:
This is a unique opportunity to engage in student-led conversations with your
peers about hot button societal issues such as immigration reform, abortion
laws, and social media and cancel culture.
You will have a say about what issue you'll be exploring in this course.
After enrolling, students will be sent a Google Form where they will be able
to vote on the topic of the dialogue.
It's only a half-semester commitment and you will earn credit.

If you are interested in enrolling, search for "CHSE 328A" on Testudo.
https://www.testudo.umd.edu/ Please note that because this course does not
begin until the second half of the semester, the traditional add/drop
deadline does not apply. You are able to enroll in the course at any point
before October 20th. If you have any questions you can contact Ben Beltran at
