I am reaching out to you about an exciting opportunity to get involved in
mentorship, research, and philanthropy. The Serbian American Medical
Association (SAMA) is a non-profit organization dedicated to improving
healthcare in the Balkans and bringing together Serbian-American healthcare
professionals. We recently organized a Student Group whose purpose is to
facilitate mentorship and cultivate intellectual curiosity among physicians,
healthcare professionals, and students of Serbian heritage. We will connect
students with mentors across all levels of training and host monthly journal
clubs showcasing research and case conferences. Additionally, we will
organize several philanthropic events each year. Joining the student group is
an excellent opportunity for pre-meds and students interested in healthcare
to gain insight into the medical field, basic science research, and
