Dear Bilingual Research Listserv members:
Please note that the deadline for AERA 2013 conference proposals is next Monday, July 23, 2012, at 11:59 PM Pacific Time. The Bilingual Research SIG welcomes proposals that present research concerning the theoretical and political conceptualizations as well as teaching and learning practices of bilingual/multilingual education in formal and non-formal settings around the world. We also welcome proposals that present analyses of programmatic and policy issues, assessment issues, dual language/biliteracy development, teacher education, and professional development.
In accordance with the 2013 AERA conference theme, we encourage proposals that highlight the relationship between education research and poverty. Please review AERA's Call for Submissions and be sure to closely follow the submission guidelines<http://www.aera.net/Portals/38/docs/New%20Date%20Call%20for%20Submissions%20AM13%20FINAL%20REVISED.pdf> as they are the same for all SIGs and Divisions.
Please plan on submitting your proposal/s as soon as possible in advance of the deadline to avoid unnecessary delay and inconvenience during the final hours before the deadline.
I thank you for supporting the Bilingual Research SIG and look forward to receiving your proposal for consideration in the program.
Kind regards,
Mileidis Gort, Ed.D.
