Post-doctoral Research Opportunity in Process Synthesis, Design and Optimization

Applications are invited for a postdoctoral position in the Computational Science Division of the Office of Research and Development at the National Energy Technology Lab (NETL) in Morgantown, WV. The successful candidate will join a team of researchers working on the synthesis, design and optimization of carbon capture systems for both pre- and post-combustion systems.

Qualifications
Previous experience in the area of process synthesis, conceptual design and optimization using either commercial process simulation software (such as Aspen Plus or Aspen Custom Modeler) or algebraic modeling packages (such as GAMS) is required. Experience with modern software development languages such as C++ and/or Visual Basic would be beneficial.  

Qualifications: 
A Ph.D. degree in chemical engineering or a closely related discipline is required. The Ph.D. degree must have been completed and granted by the university before starting the appointment. Applicants cannot have received the most recent degree more than five years prior to the date of application. Both U.S. citizens and foreign nationals may apply.
