The University of Coimbra is recruiting researchers at different academical and professional stages to join us is a truly exciting project, in the interface of Chemical Engineering, Pharmaceutical Industry and cutting edge research. The following levels are being considered:
- Licentiate (bachelor) degree, and enrolled in a Master program [2 grants];
- MSc degree, for pursuing a PhD programme [3 grants];
- Doctoral degree, for pursuing Post-Doctoral research [1 grant];
- Auxiliary Investigator (Post-Doctoral research) [1 grant];
Profile of the researchers: Chemical and/or Biologic Engineering, Biomedical Engineering.
Project scope: This is a unique opportunity to be part of the creation of new Technological Innovation Hub, which will be dedicated to the Innovation, Translation and Industrialization of Complex Injectable Products, targetting several diseases. This Technological Innovation Hub, called CiNTech, will be comprising 3 integrated centers (a laboratory-scale R&I center, a development, process engineering and scale-up center and a specialized GMP Center), and will be constructed in a collaborative environment involving several players with complementary skills and capabilities: Bluepharma (leader of the consortium), University of Coimbra, Center for Neuroscience and Cell Biology (CNC-UC), Biotrend, Jointsteel Process Technologies, JPM-Automação e Equipamentos Industriais, and International Iberian Nanotechnology Laboratory (INL).
R&D activities (general description): The team will engage activities of modelling, concept development, formulation design, process scale-up, PAT development & Chemometrics and process control & optimization.
