Praxair currently has an open position in the Advanced Control and 
Operations Research R&D group. The activities will be focused in the areas 
of chemical process control, process optimization and supply chain 
analysis, providing a significant global impact to Praxair’s business and 
pushing the boundaries of control and optimization application 
development. You will be involved in technology development programs from 
concept initiation through commercialization, working closely with 
Engineering, Operations, and Business organizations around the world. You 
will be asked to develop a credible business cases for new technology 
programs, actively participate in the technical development, and lead 
multi-disciplinary project execution teams. 

Requirements include a PhD in Chemical or Industrial Engineering, 
specializing in advanced process control, applied optimization technology 
and/or supply chain analysis. Experience in the practical application of 
innovative solutions in industrial settings is preferred, with a track 
record of championing new idas and technology. You must demonstrate high 
levels of enthusiasm and leadership potential, strong verbal and written 
communication skills, strong project management skills, and an ability to 
find innovative technical solutions that best meet customer needs. 
International travel may be required.
