It will take place at the Royal Sonesta in Cambridge, MA between June 29th and July 2nd. There are a number of exciting invited speakers for the sessions to be held Monday to Wednesday, in addition to William Pulleybank from IBM being the Keynote speaker on Sunday evening. The sessions cover: Integration of Control, Scheduling, and Planning; Enterprise-Wide Optimization; Modeling, Optimization, and Information Technologies; Forecasting, Finance, and Risk Management; Sustainable Resource Systems; and Emerging Technologies.

We will be holding a FOCAPO 2008 Programming Meeting during the upcoming AIChE meeting on Tuesday, November 6th from 6 PM - 7 PM or so in Room 251 A (Upper Level) of the Salt Palace Convention Center. At this meeting we will discuss the current status of the invited speaker program, the contributed paper sessions, and industrial support. If you are interested in hearing about the exciting program we will be offering, please plan on attending.

Also, the 500 word or less abstracts for the contributed paper sessions are being accepted until November 15th. Please see <http://www.focapo.org/?page=abstracts> http://www.focapo.org/?page=abstracts for more information.
