Request for Proposal from ABB (Deadline: November 1st, 2013)

ABB, the leading power and automation technology group, invites proposals
from academic and research institutes around the world to support
promising graduate students with projects that combine academic research
with industrial application in the power and automation area. ABB already
collaborates with a number of academic research groups world-wide. The ABB
Research Grant Program is intended to enlarge and complement the circle of
our university partners.

The application process will start on November 1, 2012 and will close on
November 30, 2012. Funding will be approved for one year at a time, but
the program is designed to fund projects over multiple years. Grants will
typically fall within the range of $50,000 to $80,000 a year and the
principal investigator or main applicant will hold a position as a
professor associated with a university, university college, or research
institute. Successful candidates will be notified by December 31, 2012 and
funding will commence on January 1, 2013.

Further details (including areas of interest) are provided in the attached
pdf file.

Regards

Vinay
