Dear all,

Please find attached the 1st circular on a workshop on the "Utilization of Process Modeling & Advanced Process Control in Quality by Design based Drug Development and Manufacturing" to be held in Baltimore MD. Apr 27-28, 2009.

The objective of this workshop is to bring together the Process Systems Engineering community with the Pharmacy/Pharmaceutics community and the regulatory authorities for a technical discussion on the application of current modeling technology for design, monitoring and control of drug product pharmaceutical unit operations, and their use in Quality by Design.

Please consider submitting your work to the poster session and/or attending the event which promises to bring good opportunities to discuss potential collaborations between the pharmaceutical sector and the chemical engineering one. Selected work from the oral and poster sessions will appear in a special edition of Computers & Chemical Engineering.

A second announcement will follow when poster submission and registration are open.

For more information on the event and for inquiries on the industrial exhibit please contact me directly.
