Applications are invited for up to two (2) postdoctoral positions in the
new Industrial Information and Control Centre (I2C2) at the University of
Auckland’s City campus. The I2C2 is a new government and industry funded
initiative. The vacancies are in the general area of process modeling,
management and control. In particular, the I2C2 is actively building links
with New Zealand industry in the field, based upon a wish to create a
centre for research and advanced training in the area.

The candidates will be important components in this plan, and will be
expected to work jointly with colleagues in the I2C2 to build links based
upon specific projects that will involve mathematical modeling and control
of certain industrial processes. In this context, experience in dairy
processing, pulp and paper, metals processing or oil and gas processing
would be an advantage.

The candidates should hold PhDs in Chemical or Process Engineering, or a
related field(s), specializing in process modeling, management and
control.
