A Postdoctoral Research Fellow position is available in the Department of
Chemical and Materials Engineering at the University of Alberta in Canada.
The position is in the area of distributed predictive control and state
estimation for both linear and nonlinear systems.

The candidate should hold a doctoral degree in Chemical Engineering (or
related disciplines). The candidate is expected to have strong background
in modern control theories, optimization techniques, nonlinear analysis and
computer programming skills. Prior experience with distributed MPC,
distributed optimization will be preferred.

The position is available immediately. An initial appointment will be made
for one year, and will be renewable contingent upon performance and
availability of funds.
