Dear Colleagues,

I would like to invite you to participate in the European School on
Multi-scale Modeling in Chemical Reaction Engineering
(http://multimod.cperi.certh.gr/ ). The School will be held in September
18-22, 2017 at the Porto Carras resort in Halkidiki, Greece.

The idea behind this summer school is to bring together scientists from
different scales of modeling as well as various countries around the world.
The atomistic modeling of reactions on catalytically active surfaces and the
design of catalytic reactors spans various time and length scales. Bridging
these scales through multiscale modeling is becoming more common and
sophisticated. It is the intention of this summer school to give students as
well as participants from the chemical industry an introduction, overview
and hands-on experience in the various areas. Moreover, by bringing together
researchers from various fields this summer school will serve as a platform
to exchange ideas and can be a nucleus for future collaborations.

Courses will cover topics in:

- Different scales of modelling

- Density Functional Theory and micro kinetics,

- Kinetic monte carlo simulations,

- Computational Fluid Dynamics and macro kinetics,

- Reactor design

The School is co-organized by:

- Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (DE)

- Braunschweig University of Technology (DE)

- Friedrich-Alexander University of Erlangen-Nuremberg (DE)

-Centre for Research and Technology-Hellas (GR)

Courses will be given by world leading experts from:

-Princeton University (USA)

-Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (DE)

-Munich Technical University (DE)

-Polytechnic of Milan (IT)

-Ghent University (BE)

-University of Crete (GR)

Best Regards
