Dear CAST community,

Our group in The School of Chemistry, Chemical Engineering and Biotechnology at Nanyang Technological University (NTU), Singapore has two PhD positions (supported by full scholarship). Successful candidates are expected to join in August 2023. Detailed information is as below. We would be grateful if you could forward this advertisement to people who may have interests.

Successful candidates will conduct research related to process systems engineering, including but not limited to digital-twin modeling, learning-based estimation and control, fault detection and diagnosis, and optimization solutions for industrial manufacturing processes.

Preferred Qualifications of PhD students:
* A bachelor's/ master's degree (or will be awarded a degree shortly) from Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Control Engineering/Automation, Computer Science
* Knowledge of control theory and machine learning
* Experience in programming using Python or Matlab
