Dear Colleagues,

I wanted to make you aware of two openings for faulty positions that we
currently have in the Department of Chemical Engineering at UC Davis.
The advertisement for the faculty positions is included below. It would
be appreciated if you could share this information with students or
colleagues whom you think may be interested in applying. We would like
to strongly encourage candidates from minority and under-represented
groups to apply.

Best regards,

TENURE TRACK POSITIONS
Department of Chemical Engineering
University of California, Davis

Applications are invited for two Assistant Professor positions in the
Department of Chemical Engineering at UC Davis in any area of chemical
or biochemical engineering. Strong preference will be given for
candidates who are working in areas related to (1) process and systems
engineering, or (2) micro- and nano-technology and would benefit from
access to the UC Davis Center for Nano-Micro-Manufacturing (CNM2) clean-
room facility. The successful candidates will develop a vigorous program
of independent research, and teach chemical engineering courses at the
undergraduate and graduate levels.

Candidates must have a Ph.D. degree in chemical engineering or a closely
related field, have demonstrated excellence in research, and be
committed to excellence in teaching.

UC Davis recognizes the necessity of supporting faculty with efforts to
integrate work, family and other work-life considerations. To recruit
and retain the best faculty, the campus sponsors a Work Life Program
that provides programs and services that support faculty as they strive
to honor their commitments to work, home and community.

Please consult http://che.engineering.ucdavis.edu/ or
https://recruit.ucdavis.edu/apply/JPF01693 for our on-line application
procedure and requirements. The position is open until filled; but to
assure full consideration, applications should be submitted no later
than 5:00 pm October 15, 2017, for a start date of July 1, 2018.
UC Davis is an affirmative action / equal opportunity employer, and is
dedicated to recruiting a diverse faculty community. We welcome all
qualified applicants to apply, including women, minorities, individuals
with disabilities, and veterans.
