FIPSE (жи)

FIPSE-5 Postponed to 2022
Dear FIPSE Friends,

Faced with the continued uncertainties about COVID-19 and slower than expected vaccination rates, the FIPSE Trustees have decided to postpone the FIPSE-5 meeting one more time to June 27-29, 2022.

The meeting will occur in the same location as initially planned, at the Aldemar Knossos Royal Hotel, in Hersonissos, 23 Km east of the Heraklion airport in Crete, Greece. The scientific program will be as it was planned. An alternate speaker will be chosen and announced in the improbable event that one of those in the 2020 program has a conflict with the new dates. A similar message will be posted on the FIPSE site<https://fi-inPSE.us7.list-manage.com/track/click?u=dfd008ceefe87cb6dce03e784&id=d986a9e6cd&e=d5eafbfe1a> as soon as its update is near complete.

We are presently planning for a webinar this coming June, most likely between the 21st and the 23rd. This will aim to inform a wide audience about the mission and character of the FIPSE meetings and provide a short review of what has been accomplished so far. Graduate students and postdocs will strongly be encouraged to participate. We are also exploring the possibility of a short technical presentation, during the same session, on a topic of current interest. We will inform you as soon as our plans solidify.

Sincerely Yours,
