Based in the School of Chemical Engineering & Advanced Materials, a postdoctoral Research Associate is required to work on a European Union FP7 project on the intelligent control of reactive polymer composite moulding processes.

The project will focus on the development of intelligent control and monitoring techniques using neural networks, fuzzy logic control, and iterative learning control. The project involves 10 partners from several EU countries. You should have a good honours degree (or equivalent) in Chemical Engineering or related area and a PhD (or equivalent) with experience of Process Control, Process Modelling and Computational Intelligence. The ability to demonstrate good communication skills and work within a team are essential.

The post is available with immediate effect for a period until 31/08/2012.
