The Chemical Engineering group at United Technologies Research Center is 
seeking a talented chemical engineer with strong mathematical and modeling 
background. The candidate’s primary responsibilities are: Execution of 
modeling projects in the areas of fuel cells, fuel processing, energy 
storage, indoor air quality and humidity control; provision of timely, 
accurate and detailed technical reports and presentations; interaction 
with UTC business units and provision of assistance to the senior 
engineering staff in the generation of high impact modeling programs and 
contribution to overall program growth. The candidate must be able to work 
effectively in a multidisciplinary team environment focused on innovation. 

Education:  A Masters in Chemical Engineering with at least 3 years of 
experience or a Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering.

Experience/Qualifications:  Masters in Chemical Engineering with at least 
3 years of experience or a Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering with at least one 
year of post doctoral experience or experience in an industrial research & 
development environment. The candidate should master the fundamentals of 
chemical engineering (thermodynamics, transport phenomena, reaction 
engineering/kinetics, applied mathematics and unit operations) and have a 
proven record of technical accomplishments. Demonstrated computational 
know-how and familiarity with at least two of the chemical engineering 
modeling software platforms, such as ASPEN, HYSYS, MatLab, gPROMS etc as 
applied to the successful solution of chemical engineering problems at the 
component and/or system level is required. The candidate should be a 
strongly motivated individual and a fast learner and possess excellent 
communication, customer focus and teamwork skills.
