Research professor or postdoctoral positions in systems/synthetic biology are immediately
available at the Yoon Lab (Systems Biology) in the Department of Chemical Engineering, University
of Massachusetts Lowell (MA, USA). The research group is a core part of the Massachusetts
BioManufacturing Center (www.uml.edu/mbmc) and Biomanufacturing Consortium
(www.uml.edu/bpqc). Currently we are looking for experienced and highly motivated researcher to
support Population PKPD modeling project of LAI (Long Acting Injectables), and biomanufacturing
research projects. The appointments are funded through FDA and pharmaceutical companies. The
initial position is for one year, with the second and third year of employment dependent upon
performance in the previous year.

Work for this position will largely involve developing mechanistic and statistical models for
population PKPD models. Strong statistical and mechanistic modeling, and analytical skills are
required. PKPD modeling, Gene expression, cDNA sequence, protein, metabolites, glycosylation,
trace element profiling datasets of media and cell-culture samples will be addressed.

FDA project requires some project management skills. The University of Massachusetts Lowell is
committed to increasing diversity in its faculty, staff, and student populations, as well as
curriculum and support programs, while promoting an inclusive environment. We seek candidates
who can contribute to that goal and encourage you to apply and to identify your strengths in this
area.

•	Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering, Biological Sciences, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or related field
•	Experience with cell-culture, media development, cell-line development and analytical, the
JMP, SIMCA, Matlab, R statistical package is a plus
•	Experience with Systems Modeling Tools, NONMEM, gPROMS, ASPEN+

To apply, combine the following documents into one PDF file: cover letter, CV, description of
scientific achievements (~one page), contact information for two references. Send this PDF file as
soon as possible to: [log in to unmask] Review of applications will begin immediately and
continue until the position is filled. However, the position may close when an adequate number of
qualified applications are received.
